    I just wish the rental truck companies would rent me a truck with a lift gate! Only for local moves they tell me. Thanks all for the input. Opie011 is trying to help me with this. Keep the ideas coming! I appreciate all of them.

    Take the door off. It makes them a lot easier to move.

    OK, my friend was moving his safe and we had te very same problem as you. what we did is - we went to the nearest Lowes store found the flatbed delivery track driver and asked him to stop by when he's gonna be out for the next delivery. paid him $20 cash - he was happy, we were even happier.

    P.S. in case if you don't know - these guys have the forklift attached to the flatbed all the time.

    I just realized my neighbor is a repo guy and has a flat bed tow truck. Now my wheels are turning!
