    Default Nice Cans!

Now that I have your attention...

Where "the" place to go for a suppressor?

I've tried calling Silent Precision, left a couple messages and got no return. He's got great pricing and great feedback here. But, nothing has been updated on him here in several months so I'm wondering if anyone knows if he's still in business.

I'd prefer to stay local, but I'll surely take advice from those who have bought out of state. Any help or points in the right direction would be greatly appreciated.

Great question. Subscribing to follow responses.

To piggyback on Big John's question if I may, and John please call me out if this is an unwelcomed hijacking... I'll be glad to delete it.

In addition to where, what do folks feel is the smartest suppressor caliber to buy first? I'd like to eventually suppress .45, 9mm, .22lr and .223/5.56... are 147gr 9mm loads through a .45 suppressor at all dampened?
Please leave any relevant feedback here:

Sawin: I'd look into an Octane 45 from Silencerco, very versatile can.

Big John, For where to go, one of the first things that will help is what kind of can you're looking for, Precision rifle, SBR, Pistol, etc, can help some of us to point you in the right direction of what retailers can help you best.

If you can only deal with one... Most of those are pistol so .45 will take care of the .45 and 9mm (not 100% on the 22LR but I would think there is an adaptor out there) but will not help on .223/5.56 since that is a rifle round. If you can deal with two, get a 30 cal to handle the .223/5.56 and take care of any future 'upgrades'. If three... Get the 22LR so you don't have to clean the .45 as much. This will mean that you will be buying adaptors to make things fit, meaning more money.
