A library is really not a bad place to be if you're trying to hide from bullets... Lots of aisles, lots of bullet-stopping books. As a last ditch effort, you could always just charge the shooter while pushing a cart loaded up with books.

Sad thing about the student who's textbooks stopped the bullet is that body armor is probably cheaper than those books. They cant complain though books can stop bullets and be read, kevlar on the other hand just sits there.
