They shouldn't have an address because I never gave them one. As for email....Aren't they emailing through Craigslist site somehow and not directly to me? I wouldn't know though.

And as for honesty.....all should have it anywhere they are. Internet FTF where ever. I'm not naive about the lack of honesty but will always assume you are being honest with/to me until proven otherwise. And I do reserve the right the bust that ass if I suspect dis-honesty!

Hey! Im still playing catch-up from going camping and I just saw this thread. I spoke about this very same type of thing in another thread (something like F%&@%$ Thieves).

Its definitely a scam. These guys are all over Craigslist and eBay these days. Out of the goodness of their hearts they'll pay you (in the form of a cashiers check, money order, etc. - all fraudulent) a ton more money for your item just if you do this little itty bitty thing for them. About 2 weeks after putting the payment in your bank and sending off the item you find out you've been scammed. They tried this with me on Craigslist once for an old school biker jacket - which I still have.

as long as you don't respond they will only have the craigslist email which is your email but masked by a craigslist email so the spammer doesn't really know what it is. only way they will is if you put the email out in the open, or if you respond, then they will see it.

I have a special email account specifically for craigslist and ebay just for this reason.

i always play along with those scams and fuck with them just for fun. One time I even sent a note to them after getting an address, telling them to go fuck themselves. I also told them that Interpol agents were across the street watching them. I bet they even looked out the window.

I just got that almost exact email from someone that wanted a set of wheels that I have listed on craigslist. Anyone saying they will give more than the asking price just screams SCAM! Also these are all computer generated scams hence the broken grammer! This is why I hate using craigslist.

Make a new listing on there that warns against scams and show the email and what it looks like. I get those too and they look like they are written by the same guy.

Thanks everyone. My item is sold and this thread is over as far as I'm concerned.
