This is CMMG who created the .50 cal muzzle loading black powder Upper for your AR.

They creat things no one I think has really asked for, yet, maybe never.

"The rifle itself has no moral stature, since it has no will of its own. Naturally, it may be used by evil men for evil purposes, but there are more good men than evil, and while the latter cannot be persuaded to the path of righteousness by propaganda, they can certainly be corrected by good men with rifles. --Jeff Cooper"

Truly a solution in search of a problem. Direct impingement gas system with combloc surplus ammo from the 70s? No, thank you.

Sig has their new 556XI, PTR tried 762x39 out, now this.

Intriguing but I think most people will stick with the AK.

Seems like a lot of meh to me ... if I wanted a 30 cal AR I'd rather just go with .300 blackout.

One thing that annoys me with AKs in general is the magazine ergos ... rock and lock is pretty lame when compared with drop-free at the touch of a button.

    Agreed. At $1650, I could have 4 of those $399 AK's the Great-Kazoo mentioned.

I guess they hope that if it has rails and they keep talking about it the gear queers will pony up to get one.

This is the perfect rifle for someone who hates the AK platform, but inexplicably has a couple cases of AK magazines laying around.

OLY Arms had one 21 years ago. I owned one for maybe 2 weeks. The DI system, combined with a 223 bolt relieved for a 30 cal case was hit or miss. Colt offered a sporter the same time frame in 92 for a few years. It was an answer to the 89 import ban. One not many people responded to.
Now having a handful of those AK style mags with AR towers would be nice.
