    What are they protesting?

    The cop killer?

The dude that resisted arrest whom was a french fry away from death before the poor cops got to take the rap for his poor decisions?

Exactly. We aren't dealing with the brightest individuals here. It wasn't the cop that killed him, it was the fact that he was 400 lbs that killed him. Damn, now I'm reminded of a movie where someone badly overweight died and someone makes the comment that the apparent cause of death is false, the fact that the guy was massively obese is what killed him... Sure wish I could remember what movie it was.

Nope, figured it out! Crimson Tide. After the fire in the galley scene, Captain Ramsey says something to the effect of "It wasn't the fire that killed him, it was his 400lbs that killed him." Hence, I can use the same logic here. Although, I'm not 100% convinced it wasn't positional asphyxia that led to this guy's death.

I believe that was Crimson Tide. "It was Merichek's 300 pounds that killed him, not the fire."

300, 400, same difference right? North of 290 is just plain huge, even for NFL linemen.

290 is probably 10 - 15 pounds below average for an NFL lineman at this point.
