Local AK-47 builders?
looking for a local AK-47 builder. Any recommendations would be grateful. Thanks in advance.

can you elaborate on what you want done? It's not cost effective to have someone build your kit.

Machine Gunner
Specifics are important. I've built two. The de-milled kits today are WAY different than when I built mine. (Mostly cost...) What's your question?

Agreed not cost effective but it's a collector for me.Just need my r guns 1968 Tula demilled ,built on stamped nds receiver, and finished by a seasoned guy.I have all parts required. Just hoping there maybe local builders? I know iron curtain moved out of state and did excellent work. I have bought kits over many years but time does not permit me to build yet.I have great interest and intentions to build one day .just gotta keep buying parts kits till the day comes.

If you are only building one the tools will make it cost prohibitive, I would send it off if you don't plan on doing anymore or don't have the time to figure it out yourself. Building them isn't difficult, did a couple myself last summer and still haven't gotten around to refinishing them yet, have a couple more on the drawing board when I have some extra time on the future. You can still ship it off to Iron Curtain. Hickman Rifles in the Springs used to builds, can't vouch for their quality of work though. Some other builders would be Arizona Response Systems, Dallas Moore over at AKFiles.com, Randy Kline and a few others.. If it's a collector to you don't skimp on the builder, plenty of horror stories out there of people trying to save a buck.
