Case in point.....
I'm not really sure if it was about generations or location, but growing up in southern California in the 90s, all of our neighbors up and down the street were really close. We'd have block party barbeques in the summer, etc.
In Colorado, not so much. We might be good friends with a couple houses down in each direction, but that's it. No unified street or anything like that.
Also, I'm sick of that song being used for synced lights.
My first house/neighborhood was like that. We had some wives that were into the whole block party thing and we had some fantastic block parties. I still think about them from time to time. You have to have someone willing to invest the time and energy into organizing, spearheading the whole shabang. They even got the city to close off the street once or twice. And yes, I know I need to do lights, I have the past 5 years maybe, but I've never been into it. Sorry Clinger, at best I run a string along the eves and call it good.
I hat this time of year... everyone thinks they can do my job all of a sudden ......
That would be nice. I've been reading the manuals and using google-fu but... Maybe I just don't understand English anymore. I contacted the installer, they came down once and spent about an hour with me. Went through so much and took so many notes that I can't reference back too. It's not a fancy system, no moving lights or GOBO's or anything. I just can't never seem to program them to the faders, etc. If you want to come down some time and teach me, that'd be awesome, but no rush. I can turn em on and manually change colors at least. HA!
I was at Home Depot and a customer had plugged in his Smart Phone to a bigger unit than this.

It was fast and easy.
For $100 you too can play!

"I am a conservative. Quite possibly I am on the losing side; often I think so. Yet, out of a curious perversity I had rather lose with Socrates, let us say, than win with Lenin."
