    LMAO.

More of an infantry thing than field grade. I should have removed my boots!

SO, what color is the boat house at Hereford?

And no he isn't a Ranger. I am not nor a former Ranger. But he is not. No one even knows where FT. Leonard Wood is. Not even the people that went there. A lot of units host a Pre-Ranger School. Of which I attended one in Virginia. It is a prep course for Ranger school at the unit level. FT. Leonard Wood could have a Pre-Ranger course.

It's more than "kind of insulting"

Don't know, didn't attend. But everyone I know that did talks about how good the pancakes were, and that every still praised them while throwing up after overeating.

Just read your last post and thought, "Wait a minute, XM68, that sounds familiar." For a minute thought I might be a full o chit poser myself.

So rather than try to elicit all possible knowledge about rangers to make it easier for these dicks to find it, just use basic psychology to feel them out.
I worked with such a liar once. He knew everything about everything. His stolen valor thing was he was a squid and somehow assisted SEALS in the PI. Highly doubtful.

So one day we were working in front of a slaughter house, as we got out of the truck I told another employee that watch the Squid probably knows something about a slaughter house. This was in southern California so knowledge would be unusual. As we were working I started with oh that would be interesting to tour the slaughter house.

The squid replied oh my uncle used to work at one, and then I kept asking more inane questions. It took everything to hold it together until me and the other guy could get back in the truck to drive to a new location. We were dying of laughter.

To your first question: "How the f*** should I know?"

And I do know where Fort Lost-in-the-woods is... Not strictly because that hell hole was where I did my basic training, but because I drove by it on my way home from ETSing in 2010... it's in the void between St. Louis and Springfield. No, I'm not kidding, there is a great big void between those two cities... There is absolutely nothing! Even the training areas on post are devoid of anything interesting.

And I really like Foxtrot's idea. We did that with one guy who claimed to be SF... not only didn't he know what an 18B was (although he claimed to be one), but we asked if he did training on the QBB-95. He went into a story about how they used it and deployed with it. When it came time to call him out I said "Really? You deployed using a Chinese light machine gun? I've only seen them, never actually got to hold one!" He felt about 10" tall after that.

I have never met anyone with a short tab who didn't know his Ranger class number.

    He's not a Ranger.
