    Default Galaxy S5 screen unresponsive??

Well today while working on a safe, I put my phone on top of the door and it fell off causing the screen to go black and unresponsive to touch. I've googled the issue and tried several tricks but none have worked. Pretty sure the touch pad and digitizer(LCD) are toast and I need this repaired ASAP!! Thinking of going to Cellular Exchange in Arvada to have them fix it tomorrow but want to see if there other places to check out. From Cellular Exchange's website, I'm looking at $255 to have it fixed.....

You can save some extra cash if you can do it your self, this was a quick search, but I am sure that you can find it cheaper with a longer search; http://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_odkw...lizer&_sacat=0

    Sorry to hear : (

There are tons of videos in youtube that explain on how to replace it.

I've got to replace a cracked screen on my S4 but I'm leary of those $110 e-bay digitizers. They all appear to be refurbed units.

There's a place over by Park Meadows Mall (and other locations) that gets pretty good reviews on Yelp for repair. For $225, assuming that's for a factory digitizer/glass, I'd say it's worth it if you get some guarantee on workmanship and materials.

I have insurance on mine, but I hate to replace it now since it's been rooted and the latest firmware (last I checked) doesn't have a good root that won't trip KNOX.

I broke the screen on my S4 couple monthes ago.

UbreakIfix in Lonetree (I was working in the area, otherwise I would have taken it to downtown location that one of my crews swears by) had it repaired same day, approx $150 w/ tax.

There are several cell phone repair outfits around the metro area that I have heard good things about.

Did you have the insurance? The claim will be much cheaper than $260. That seems high.

I watched a guy replace a co-worker's screen in his iphone. It was amazing how small those screws are in there. He had this magnetized screwdriver that helped immensely.

Good Luck! If you don't have the insurance on it I would attempt a self-fix, just the way I am... it is already broke.
