In another decade when Comcrap rolls out another 50Mbps increase they can buy another $20 modem to take advantage of those speeds. So its better to buy outdated modems and routers now? Buying a modem that bonds less then 16 channels is like buying a 802.11n router, its not going to perform like you want it to. Comcast has upped their speeds 13 times in 12 years or something like that, remember the docsis 1 and 1 meg downloads? 1x1 channels those were the good ol days haha but 32 down wont be far off now that technology isnt a limitation anymore. And for the record a docsis 2 will run over a hundred megs, i seen the first 100 plus meg test in a customers home around 6 years ago with a motorola surfboard 5101, it was running 115-120 during a test period. Of course i live in ault and just ran mine, I get 12 down and 1 up on dsl and 14 down and 9 up on my verizon hot spot. I have a 1 gig network in my house and a 12mb connection, life is good haha
