    Toi reboot modem do you just unplug power cord and wait a bit and replug?

    Unless you have a VoIP router with the battery backup, in that case there is a small recessed reset button on the back, just push it with a pin. If you're not getting your home phone from Comcast you most likely just have a regular modem.

    Killer timing: For those with an older DOCSIS 2.0 modem Newegg.com just put a rebate on their ZyXEL Comcast modem which is DOCSIS 3.0 and is only $20 after a $30 mail in rebate. It should be noted that Motorola is the gold standard for residential cable modems but for $20 this is a REALLY good modem and if I had to buy a modem today I wouldn't hesitate to buy this one. I mean, for $20 you can't go wrong compared to paying Comcast $8/mo for their modem which is on par with this one.

    For $20 , it might might even be worth having as a spare. And the modem lease fee is now $10/mo (went up in Sep or Oct).
