A guy keeps stopping by from century link claiming the new fiber optic line will get me 1 gbps and I won't need phone subscription.

Anybody have this deal? I've seen lots of complaints with their standard tier of service...

On a side note/related topic, I got a call from <insert non-intelligible IT company name here> rep with an Indian/Pakistani accent about an hour ago.

He was calling about my computer. I asked him "What computer?" To which he replied "your computer that is using Microsoft Windows". I then told him that I don't have a computer or a tv. It only took about 5 seconds for me to hear the click of him hanging up on me.
