    Default 277 Wolverine

Has anyone tried a build yet in 277 Wolverine? Same idea as 300 Blackout or 6.5-223 Wildcat. Just a barrel swap, uses .277/6.8SPC projectiles with standard 223 case.

I am considering it for my next upper instead of 6.8 SPC because it uses the same mags/bolt and was looking for some real world feedback.

I haven't even heard of that caliber. Thanks for the link. Might have to do a little research on that one.

I've been waiting for someone to try mixing the new 6.8 bullets that have been created for the SPC with a standard 223 case. This guy seems to have started the project just last spring.

I missed the first round of barrels from them, and was wondering if anyone on here had picked one up and given the new cartridge a try. I am still a little skeptical of the results they are posting (within 200 fps of 6.8 SPC Spec II). I have yet to find any pressure test data for the rounds.

I like this concept, but I hate 270 bullets. I'll wait and watch this one...It does seem interesting. I agree with almost everything, except for the patent pending bs. Just because of that, I might stay away from it...Same thing as the 300whisper vs 300 fireball. Hmm, a 6.8x40....If that's the case, i'd rather look at the wilson combat stuff....http://wilsoncombat.com/new/762x40-project.asp

Go for it. You won't be disappointed.

I started with 6.8 SPCII and decided to expand the handloading options since I already had most of what was needed. The Hornady dies are quality and you should get a setup to cut the cases before running them through the sizer die.

    Thanks for the feedback.

I'm mainly interested in loading the 100 gr Accubonds and seeing if I can get 2600fps out of a 16". Guess I'll keep an eye out for the barrels coming back in stock.
