    Default Garands from CMP

In doing a search, I found nothing about the CMP handling of Garands when shipping to Colorado residents. If the buyer has a C&R, no problem but what about Colorado buyers who are NOT C&R holders - are they now required to be received via a FFL? We are aware that these Garands are definitely C&R and the new CO law "shouldn't" apply to C&R rifles but will the CMP still ship direct to individuals?
Below is what the CMP has listed.
    "IMPORTANT
: If your State or locality requires you to first obtain a certificate, license, permit, or Firearms Owner ID card in order to possess or receive a rifle, you must enclose a photocopy of your certificate, license, permit, or card with the application for purchase. Rifle shipments to NY and NJ must be made to a state licensed dealer. You must provide a copy of the dealer’s license with your order form. Rifle shipments to CA must be made to a State licensed dealer or may be made to individual homes, providing that a CA Certificate of Eligibility and a Curio and Relic License are provided. Rifle shipments to CT must be made to licensed or dealer or may be shipped directly to the customer if a C&R license is provided".

I just bought an M1 Garand in September and they shipped it right to my front door via FEDEX. No C&R and no FFL. I am retired military and had to send them a copy of my retired ID card, but that is just for eligibility to purchase from CMP, has nothing to do with shipping it. BTW, I bought a service grade rifle and what I got was fantastic. The stock is near perfect and the bluing is like new, all the numbers match too.

Ranger, do you recall the T&E numbers? Sounds like you did receive a nice one. I have read that each number on the T&E will indicate roughly a 1000 rounds fired per that individual number, Iike a 3 = 3000 and a 5 = 5000 rounds. Now someone will probably tell me that I am full of
    on the T&E explanation.

Ranger, do you recall approximately how long It took to receive your Garand once your papers were sent to CMP?
I have always wished that I could go to one of their stores and personally pick out the one that I wanted but WAY too many miles to travel for this old fart.

Bob, I believe you are correct on the T&E estimate.
One of my old Sgts in my unit was a unit armorer and said that is how they did it.

My Garand was shipped to my door. Left it on the porch. (And it was FANTASTIC!)

I mailed off the forms in late March and I got the rifle in early September so about 6 months. CMP sent me an email confirmation that they received the order and were processing it, I waited about a month and called them to get an estimate, the gal on the phone told me it would ship in March 2015! I was really surprised to get the email in September saying "your order has shipped" because I wasn't expecting it.
