    Default Medicine Head

Is it just me, or would you rather just be sick than zooted on Dayquil? This is annoying.

I have all kinds of peeps coming over tonight for dinner, and I just want to hide and watch something inane on tv. HUMBUG! Jameson, take me away!

After 2 days of no sleep, splitting headache, sore body and on and off coughing spells, I pick medicine. Tis the season!

The wife and I both have the flu. I feel spacey even if I skip the meds, so might as well ease the situation. We were supposed to host Christmas Eve dinner at our place. Now we're in quarantine. We don't want to expose the rest of the family to this crap. I feel like I've done about a million sit-ups and when I get into a coughing jag, I almost pass out. Wheeee!

This one started as a sore throat with chills / sweating to death / chills the next morning. Got a hell of a cough and headache thrown in for good measure. Good news is I'm sleeping and eating just fine, and haven't had the snot follies.

I've decided it's the Dextromethorphan that knocks me in the dirt. Everything else I can handle fine.

This too shall pass. Merry Christmas, everyone.

    Feel better.
There is definitely a few nasty cold viruses going around. Flu has been up in the hospitals, too.

Personally, by the time I'm taking Dayquil / Nyquil, I'm pretty knocked over already.

yeah, the bug this year has been pretty annoying- and the CDC said their flu vaccine turned out to be ineffective (again).

There was a time a few years back when we didn't have anything in the cabinet but children's stuff... so I took some tussin- and had some kind of reaction to an ingredient in it... that was a trip. Decided never to take the kid's stuff again- and wondered if it did that to them...

when I first saw the thread title, I was wondering if it was a band's name...

I feel zero effect from Dayquil, but Nitequil on the other hand knocks me on my ass.

Dayquil doesn't work on me. I take the pseudoephedrin (sp?) that you get from any local pharmacy, and it winds me up....but takes care of aches and lets me breathe.

NyQuil, on the other hand, knocks me flat.

I'm sorry some of you are sick during the holiday! Booo!

Spoke too soon... Here we go. Head feels like a brick and the snot faucet is on. Pseudoephedrine to the rescue!

    Thanks for the wishes.
