+1 on driving away as the best option.
Better to have and not need, rather than need and not have. There is always a j- frame with in reach 24/7.
Don't be stupid!!!!!
Made a little road trip today for family holiday stuff. Loaded one of the handguns and brought it along. Just in case.
You don't need an interview. Not in our county.

Like Irving said, it's not an interview. I show up, get finger printed and probably have my picture taken, turn in a two page form and some supporting documentation, then I leave. I haven't set up a day or time yet. Need to go into work on Monday and see what my schedule looks like first.
Do it Ray and I'll buy you a beer when you have the permit in hand. Meet up at Ark Tactical!
Start carrying now so you've worked through the jitters by the time your permit comes in!

"When law and morality contradict each other, the citizen has the cruel alternative of either losing his moral sense or losing his respect for the law." -Frederic Bastiat
"I am a conservative. Quite possibly I am on the losing side; often I think so. Yet, out of a curious perversity I had rather lose with Socrates, let us say, than win with Lenin."
― Russell Kirk, Author of The Conservative Mind
A lot of people like to go to Wal-mart for their virgin carry voyage. I find that if you carry at a bank, 11 months before you get your permit, by the time you walk through a Wal-mart, it'll be a breeze!
