Rifle Buffer On 16" Barrel

I'm thinking about building up another AR, mostly for range/varmint/maybe 3 gun use, and of course, price is a concern so I'm not going to be buying DD parts. I do want low recoil impulse, so can you use a rifle buffer assembly with a mid length gas system on a 16" barrel without encountering too many problems?

Yes. A rifle buffer tube/spring/buffer setup should work just fine.
