Edwards can be a bit expensive but it is so nice to go into a shop that cares. Luckily for me I'm about 10 minutes away and much of their meat had ended up on my smoker.

I liked their shop, but their prices are ri-goddamn-diculous. Got pork belly at the Costco on 92nd for 2.85/lb.

Not from your area but try a Mexican or asian grocery store. Pork belly is a standard item.

Bought some at Costco in Parker today. The other Costco's I called in Sheridan and Quincy are not carrying during the holidays as too many other things to display.

    "July 30, 2011:
CHICAGO — This city’s market for the pork belly, a commodity nearly everyone seemed to have heard of but only a small, close-knit fraternity truly understood, is no more."

So, my intended suggestion of buying a futures contract and letting it expire, thereby having the bellies delivered to your address, is not going to work!

Thought this was a thread with the inside track on some commodities trading. Guess I have been looking at BMT too long.

While we're talking about pork bellies, does anyone have a line on a place where I could get the bellies with some some loin attached? I was thinking about trying to make British-style rashers ...
