Thanks for the info though. I watched the first few minutes. Looks pretty good. If I didn't have plans to go see it in a week or two at the theater I would be really tempted to watch it right now.

lol, I am still going to the theater with the wife to see it as well.
I'm looking forward to this one and waiting to see it on the big screen. I'm happy to hear it's good.
I wonder how many other iraq/afghanistan vets specifically avoid seeing these types of movies like I do. I was pissed off for weeks after watching about 5 minutes of the hurt locker and how ridiculous mockery hollywood can make of relatively recent events.

I generally avoid watching that category, but mostly because I sit there the entire time thinking "Bullshit! That type of element would never use XXXX" or "F*cking POGs don't know BD6!"
But dude, aren't they basically the same thing? I mean they both say that cool R word and go on your shoulder. Oh wait, I remember now... the tab is the cooler one cause that's what the Special Forces guys wear too, right?
You Army guys are so wound up about stupid little things like that. Next you're gonna start bitching about how people have to stand when talking to each other...

Oh man I missed that one. But yeah AS had A LOT of those "Bullshit!" moments. You mean to tell me you're going to be rolling through downtown shithole just having a pleasant conversation with your wife on a SAT phone? Don't think so, man. And I didn't know guns magically sounded like the lasers from Star Wars when you slap a suppressor on them.

IIRC, Hollywood is actually SUPPOSED to screw something up on the uniforms to avoid violating the law against illicit wear of the uniform. I remember reading an article about this 15 or 20 years ago. Usually the ones who know better will do something very subtle like use an unauthorized ribbon or device. Mixing up the tab and scroll may be one of those dodges to give a relatively accurate portrayal but being able to say the actor in question was not impersonating a US servicemember because the uniform wasn't 100% right.
