Sportsman's Guide had their Colt M16A1 parts kit on sale for $349. I've been wanting to build a Vietnam tribute gun for a while. I'll have to wait on the Nodak Spud lower for a bit and stick with one of the "A2" type I have for now since they are back ordered. I still need to order a barrel.

Stick with the clear barrel you have on that one.

That's the kind of barrel that shot the magic bullet that killed Kennedy.

I've really wanted to build one of these for quite a while, I'm going to have to look into it some more.

    must.....resist.......to build......another.....AR............

(Mrs. Belly found the total amount of ARs in the house yesterday. I was sick and passed out on the couch, and she went snooping. When I woke up, she asked how many ARs were in the house. because she asked out of the blue, I figured something was up. I think she was betting on mental fogginess to trip me up. I just asked her how many she saw in the gun room and the other safes. She came up with a number and I confirmed. I don't think she imagined it going that way when she asked me the question.)
Just doing what I can to stay on this side of the dirt.

Yeah, that McKay barrel looks nice. Im deciding between the Green Mountain, McKay, AR15Sport and Fulton Armory. So far I'm leaning toward the Fulton. The 1:8 is appealing to me.
