    Default Pvs 14 build

I'm in the process of doing a Pvs14 build. I have a tube inbound and will be getting the rest in the near future.

My question is, is there anyone with experience building the Pvs 14 and can do the purge?

Purging is just blowing some Nitrogen into the housing to prevent condensation on the electronics. I was a 94F Special Electronic Device Repair(NVG GUY) in the army. If you have an HVAC buddy he should have a tank of Nitrogen on his work truck.

Curious, did the skills you learned from your MOS transition directly to specific civilian type work?

Not exactly. I still had to go back to school after the army and retrain for a new career. I am doing HVAC now which I love and is still electronics(high voltage).

I had no idea Modarmory worked on NVGs. I figured some one in the C-springs area would.

How about a write up in the sights & optics forum. I'm sure there are others like myself, who would be interested in your project. Not only would it be a good read, you'd triple your post count answering everyone's questions. Just started browsing NV / NOD discussions , I'm somewhat challenged understanding the process building your own.
