I messed up loading 10mm and have a question

So I messed up loading some 10 mm. I set the overall length to 1.260 instead of 1.250. I am using a XL 650 Dillon and was curious what to do. Can I put it back in the machine and re-seat the OAL to 1.250 and send it back to thru the crimp die or do I need to pull the bullet and start over? Rookie move I guess. Thanks for the help in advance.

Will it feed and chamber in your gun, without jamming into the rifling? if it will, just shoot it, it's not that big of a deal. If it won't you might be able to just push them back a bit in the press, but you might get some shaving of the bullet too depending on how tight you're crimping them.

What type of bullet? If it is jacketed, I would try seating a bullet a little deeper and recrimp if your original crimp isn't too tight. You will know if the original crimp was tight as it will crumple the case.

How many long rounds do you have loaded?

If they feed and cycle I wouldn't worry about it. If they run into the lands or otherwise won't let the slide lock up, you might be able to push them back a hundredth. If it's a thin plated or lead bullet, you might scrape it in the attempt. In that case I'd pull 'em. It's going to depend on how much crimp you put on. What gun and what kind of bullet?

Berrys plated 180 gn. Loaded 19 of them. Running them thru a Glock 29. There is still a little lip of the case so I don't think I crimped the too tight.

I'd try pushing one in a bit, but with a plated bullet, you will probably get some shaving. Since it is only 19, I would pull the bullets. If the crimp isn't too tight then they should be reusable. You will recover most of the powder, so no real loss there. You may want to pull your decap pin and just resize the top half of the cases before reloading them.

If this were 100 long loads, you might get a different answer. Simple lesson learned. Glad you caught it early.

Thanks everyone for the help. It just shows the type of people on this forum. Have an issue, make a post and ask the question and have some dinner. I'd definitely see if the chamber will close. I reseated some lead bullets once and they got fat from forcing them deeper. Then the occasional bullet wouldn't feed and jam. Drop them into the chamber with the barrel out of the gun and see if they go all the way home.
