I guess in the end, I went to compete against myself while learning (good and bad) from others techniques.

I'm not a stranger to matches, just to ARs and shotguns.

A small (1 moa) dot will get you quite far in the limited irons category. If you've got decent eyes, as opposed to mine, and some iron sight skills, no reason you can't score well with actual irons. Now the AK, with the short sight radius was a challenge apparently! But you could tell he was having fun with it. It's definitely a "bring/shoot what you got" kind of event.

I had my AK/Eotech with me and had every intention of trying it out. Every time it came up, I just stuck with what was working. Next time I'm going to give it a whirl. I hope to have a new shotty before the next one. Gonna put my pump up for sale to help fund it.

Good times at yesterday's match. Mother Nature was pissed. Couldn't feel my fingers on a couple of stages. Pushed through it though and it was worth it.

I ALMOST went, was up and getting ready, had loaded the car the day before, then I saw the forecast and said screw it. How did the shotty speed loading go?
