    Update. Middle finger was reattached but index is a no go. I have to give some props Cmailliard and his TCCC class. I was able to get into my range bag and wrapped it in Combat Gauze and ETD so by the time the ambulance got here I walked right out and got in the back. I got a thumbs up from the doctors and nurses on my treatment of the damage.

    And now I'll share with you all the real reason for my injury. I was initiating into the Yakuza and they required fingers as sacrifice.

    Thanks everyone for the well wishes. Waiting on the wife to get back with my Oxy and then the rest of the day should be great.

    Sorry to hear about this! I find the most challenging part of cutting wood is not putting on the auto pilot and making a mistake. Now that my son is splitting with my heavy axe, I worry about that too. Handing him the chainsaw scares the hell out of me even though I have been using one since I was 10.
