They have not been well accepted. They are not even as good as the Gen1 Glock mags. But I assume the name will carry them to glowing reviews. I played with them at SHOT and I will not be getting any. The AICS mags...maybe.

Lack of metal in the feedlips, proprietary springs and basepads, not drop-free. For range/practice use, sure they could save some use on the factory mags, but Glock will replace a failed factory mag and rebuilds are easy. I see Glock mags on sale from $20 to $25 on a pretty regular basis. I just checked, I found new G4 Glock mags for $19.99 two places and $21 one place. Used Glock mags from $13 to $17. Only could not find G20 mags in stock.

Well, I guess that settles it. I'm sure they will be heavily promoted in a bunch of gun mags and all over the internet, regardless of actual quality.

BUT IT'S MAGPUL. The buying frenzy will go on , till range reviews come in. Even then i doubt anyone will admit they wasted $xx on a proprietary mag.

I was at Neves Uniform yesterday, and they can't sell them, Glock 17 mags, until they tear down the magazines they have and replace the magazine bodies, as this batch has some issues.
Maybe they will get it dialed in in the next gen or two

Sorry to reawaken an old thread. Just happened to obtain a couple of these for free from Neve's Uniform Supply LEGALLY. Took two of them to the range for use in my duty Glock 17. I had not one malfunction out of 250+ rounds. They dropped free each and every time. I will continue to use as range mags for sure. Maybe some day I could trust them as duty mags, however that day is far off. The Glock brand magazines have 30 years of experience and 100's of millions of rounds showing how reliable they are. If you have Glock 17 mags already, you're not missing much.
    Pros:
    Simple to disassemble
    Light
    Reliable (in my experience)
    Cheap
    Magpul customer service

    Cons:
    Possible issues without metal feedlips
If it's not broke don't fix it
Only round count indicator is the 17 round mark
    Glock mags are already reliable

Did they drop free empty, or only loaded? I've heard a couple complaints not dropping empty, which makes sense with how light they are if they are seated into a tight gun. Loaded, I expect them to drop easily given the weight.

    Looking forward to your response.

I played with a few of them on my last trip out of state. They functioned fine and dropped free empty or full.

I would agree with osok. You don't really gain anything over the factory magazines other than a cost savings and for rage mags they seem like they would work just fine. I'd still stick with the OEM mags for duty/carry/SHTF.

I've recently picked up a few. Once properly deburred they dropped just fine. Agree with the others that they are great range mags. It's not like OEM mags are that terribly expensive, or in short supply. (for us in free territory) I kinda think its more of a solution without a problem, but kudos for manufacturers who manufacture things. +1 for capitolism.

Mine dropped free every time, no issues with sticking. I have them interspersed with my Glock factory mags, I noticed absolutely no difference in any function.

They are okay and worth the $14 price tag but I have had mixed results. I have 5 and 2 are a little tight, it's hard to jam the 17th round in the mag and they don't have holes drilled into the body for round count reference(only the 17th round). My biggest complaint is the feed lips, one mag had around 400 rounds out of it and I think it's gonna wear out JT I'll keep you all posted. Overall, it's not a bad practice mag.
