Can't find a down side to more AK's.

It appears to me that any US made Kalashnikov product will exist in name only. RWC, the US manufacture, is not even allowed to "talk" to Kalashnikov Concern in Russia. I don't imagine they will be getting any machining from Russia. It will just be another copy, but this one appears (for now) to be using the name Kalashnikov. Barry's executive orders won't let Kalashnikov Concern collect any money from the US for guns. I would not be surprised to see Kalashnikov Concern filing a law suite against RWC if they can't collect money for using their name. I don't imagine most US courts are going to be sympathetic to a US gun manufactures plight. Having said that, I'm still excited to see a new US manufacture, maybe it will still be a high quality copy regardless of the name on it.

We'll see how excited everyone still is about an AMERICAN made AK47 that costs more than a decent AR15. IMO the fact that they were manufactured in countries where labor rates were cheap so the rifle (as well as the ammo for said rifle) could be sold at a fraction of the price of an AR15 was the draw.

That being said, good for them for showing the idiots at the .gov that their stupid knee-jerk laws are easy to circumvent if the money is there just like everything else they make illegal.

This. Just having to pay for Obamacare will drive their prices up over Chicom stuff. I'm not against this as anything poking a finger in Obama's and Holder's eyes is good but otherwise this is much ado about nothing IMO.

We should start writing letters to the ATF asking for clarification on this.
