    Default Native American Restaurant

I was trying to decide between Mexican or Indian for dinner tonight and a friend who lives in AZ said Native American. I haven't heard of such a thing and he said go to a Reservation for the best quality. I am not going to a Reservation for dinner. Any restaurant like this exist in CO?

There's a Native Foods restaraunt in Boulder my son took me to. Don't know if it's the same thing,it was pretty good for good for a meat eater like myself but it is all vegan.

Native American / Indian food is bland on the rez. If there's a place "offering" NA food, expect it to spiced up for the standard eating out palate

Back in the day, we used to live in Ganado, AZ. Deep Rez territory. Plenty of NA food/restaurants around but the best was to eat at the Navajo Nation Inn at Window Rock. The Navajo Taco was authentic!

    Makes geographic sense.

Unfortunately yes. it's like ordering something smothered in green chile. You're in Az or CA (certain parts) and you get a bunch of diced jalapeno's over it.

I've seen a couple places around the front range, but wasn't interested enough to enter. I figured if it was all that, I would have seen it sometime in the last 60 years. I'm thinking acorn paste and prairie grass. I could be wrong.

Kachina at the Westin in Westminster has a decent selection of Navajo tacos. They're pretty damn good. Kind of pricey though.
