Default Anyone ever food tripped before?

A trusted friend at work was telling me about food tripping. He said you just buy these pills off Amazon and throw a food trip party.

    Here is an example: http://www.amazon.com/mberry-Miracle...=food+tripping

Basically, the pill alters the way you perceive sweet and sour and switches them so eating a whole lemon/lime and taking a shot of vinegar is very easy. He said he actually ordered them and tried them and had the party etc. He did say that one friend ate a bunch of lemons and had at least three shots of vinegar, then started to not feel so well.

I want to try them out.

Miracle berry or Synsepalum dulcificum is a plant native to West Africa. It is an evergreen plant that produces small red berries which are produced for many months in a year. The seeds are about the size of coffee beans. The berry is sweet, and contains an active glycoprotein molecule called miraculin along with some carbohydrate chains. Miracle Fruit contains a glycoprotein called miraculin, which binds to the tongue's taste buds when the fruit is consumed. Miraculin acts as a sweetness inducer when it comes in contact with acids, causing sour foods to taste sweet, temporarily. This effect usually lasts between 30 minutes and 2 hours.
