Knew this was coming when the state house was lost... still don't think they stuffed key areas...

Joe Salazar is a total POS... some young male should set him up in a sting to agree to statutory...
Maybe he'd be threatened by a recall.. but in Adams county? I don't know the area well enough.

I'm just as pissed about the last election results as I am about the BS bills rammed down our throat without due process.
I was starting to pick out areas in East Texas (not that it's perfect, but at least I could warn people there they're next)
ΜΟΛΩΝ ΛΑΒΕ, we are the III%, CIP2, and some other catchphrase meant to aggravate progreSSives who are hell bent on taking rights away...

I am too, and you are correct that people, sheep, have very short memories. The whole thing ticks me off, how it was orchestrated and bulldozed through the committee process. It was criminal what happened here in Colorado last year, and I am just stunned that so many people just accept it, or don't fully understand what happened to their right of due process.

I wrote hundreds of letters last time and made countless phone calls. Would doing that again change Hick's mind?

I don't even think it will make it as far as his desk. Pretty sure it will be shot down before it get's there.

Senate Bill 15-175: Repeal of the "mag ban" will be heard by the Senate Judiciary Committee on Monday, February 23, 2015. The hearing will be held in the new committee room, Room #271 in the Capitol Building. The committee will convene at 1:30 p.m.

There are three bills on the Judiciary Committee Calendar, with SB 15-175 scheduled third. The first two bills are fairly easy and should take about 30 minutes each. If you wish to come testify for repeal of the mag ban, then you might plan to arrive at the Capitol at or about 1:30 p.m., proceed through security (basement-level below the south stairs at the south entrance or first floor, up the stairs at the north entrance), then to the second floor of the Capitol. Room 271 is located between the elevators on the second floor. When you arrive at Room 271, look for the sign-on sheets for SB 15-175. If you wish to testify, then add your name and contact information to the sign-in sheets. PROPONENTS (those in favor of the bill) will testify first. We'll allow those who oppose the bill to wait as we did in prior years.

There are five members of the Senate Judiciary Committee. One of those five committee members, Senator John Cooke, is my prime co-sponsor on the bill. In addition, Senator Ellen Roberts, chairman, and, Senator Kevin Lundberg, vice-chairman, are both co-sponsors of the bill. Three of the five committee members support the bill. Please keep that in mind if you wish to call or email Senators in support of the bill. If you contact one or more of these committee members, then please remember to say "Thank you!" rather than urge them to support a bill that they already support.

The five members of the Senate Judiciary Committee are listed here along with "clickable" links to their respective state email account.

Thank you, friends, for any support that you might offer for this bi-partisan effort to repeal a most ineffective law.

It is an honor and privilege to serve.

The day this goes to the house, can all the R's just get there really early and then lock all the doors so it can be heard on the floor?

(This is the nicest option I could come up with that won't get me a visit from CSP)

Senator Holbert, I am a competitive shooter from the springs, and my competition firearm that I owned for several years, holds more than 15 rounds. From years of hard use, the feed lips on some of my mags have seen better days and need replaced. With these laws in place I can not replace them. This is only a secondary issue to me.

First and foremost Is the manner in which a very large portion of the populous was ignored and bullied.

Thank you for fighting this, and know that tons of people all over Colorado are rooting for you. I will do my part and call all the senators mentioned in your post, and urge the non supporters to change their vote.

    Thanks again.

This is America, online you can say whatever you have on your mind!

besides, they won't come looking for you unless you've done something real bad like forget to pay a parking ticket, take more than 2 cookies from the cookie jar, not pay a highway toll, have barking dogs, look suspicious, forget to donate to the state patrol officers ball, spank your kids, or accidentally live in an apartment they think is inhabited by a drug dealer.

I realize that governments all over the world do much worse things to their people other than make stupid laws. Even if I transfer a firearm without a BCG, there won't be any caning.

Not that "our side" is a pack of angels either. The R from Montana gets into session and wants to ban Yoga pants. I'm sure we'd have a person hood bill ready to go if the house had changed power too . Then we have all the sheriffs fighting for us, only to have one the front men, Makita, get caught in a scandal and resign. Now there's a report they "misused" $700k in grant money. http://www.denverpost.com/news/ci_27...-700-000-grant But hey, it was done by the DOJ, and I wouldn't trust them with the take a penny, leave a penny tray.

Some days its not worth chewing through the leather straps.

Edited so I don't get slapped on the peepee.
