    Welcome.

Of all the forums out there on the World Wide Web, this is the best one to ask stupid questions with no fear of ridicule.

So, what sort of AR did you get?

Thanks! ATI? Yeah, ATI AR-15, seems like it is made by Head Down. I actually went to the store intending to buy/put a deposit on the Ruger AR15 offering, but this was in my price range. I have a tendency to "learn" about stuff and "decide" what I want, then I go buy THAT, use it for a while, then realize I did not ACTUALLY want that, but I wanted something else - so I spend the money twice.

This time, I figured I'd get an inexpensive, factory built AR, use it, mess with it, learn what I like/don't like, go from there - rather than spending $$$$ right out the gate.

So far, so good - I like it. I put about 200 rounds of 5.56 through it today, got the scope sighted in (Sparc something something red dot neat), shrug, it is way more accurate than me at this point! I like it.

    Welcome, join the fray.

I know several people who started out with ATI.

When you are "ready"(read fully addicted) to build your own or buy another, it will make a good truck gun or in our case, family trainer.

    Hello.

Thanks! I've got to go ISO more 5.56 today, think I'm going to go back to the range this afternoon. I'll certainly contribute beer AND opinions, no problem there. I've learned to keep my mouth shut til I "know" what I'm talking about, but once I think I do, I'm not afraid.
