Default 3 way deal = background check?!

    Question...

I am arranging a 3 way gun deals w/ couple guys at RMGO. 1 of the parties told me that we have to run backgrounds now that there are 3 of us. WTF? Any truth to this?

I mean geez, I can just do it w/ each of them on a different day to avoid any rules if there is such. This guy is a pain on my (_|_)!

3 or more people involved in a firearm transaction constitutes a gunshow. thus requiring a BG check. Fu$%^& it do one deal then another. if one of the buyers insist on a BG check forget about it. Ironic considering RMGO believes there should be NO BG checks (so do i) and shall issue CCW (likewise). I would contact the moderatot over @ RMGO and give them a heads up on the seller/buyer. they should be banned for even considering a BG check.

Even if an organization works hard to undo bad laws, I don't think its very controversial for members of that organization to obey it.

Certainly I don't think anyone here would claim that it is proper to risk jail time for that. Thats not the way you get poor laws changed.

Now if it was a simple person-to-person transfer and one demanded a BG check, thats a different story, since it isn't required by law. But here it seems that everyone simply wishes to not be in violation of a law - a clearly bad, immoral law, to be sure, but can you blame them? You are a stranger to them. For all they know you could be an ATF informer.

While its certainly a PITA to go through I wouldn't hold it against them. I certainly don't think there should be any sort of background check, nor that you should need to seek permission to carry a weapon about your person concealed. But I still have my CCL from Texas, and plan on getting one from Colorado, even if I do what I can to get those laws repealed.
