Default Apparently peeing on yourself doesn't work...

So a site (datingadvice.com) complied the 2013 crime stats from the FBI and made a list..

We have 4 colorado cities on the list for the most rapes per capita!

Let's hear it for Colorado.. wait.. it's eff'n sad.

I saw the article on KDVR, then went to the other site to read it. It's funny the spin the lady from Denver tried to put on it... 'we just report it more'..

It's sick... something that is just abysmal.

    Take a look for yourself..

A Saudi Arabian historian trying to justify the nation’s ban on female drivers says women who drive in other countries such as the United States don’t care if they’re raped and that sexual violence “is no big deal to them.”

Saleh al-Saadoon claimed in a recent TV interview that women can be raped when a car breaks down, but unlike other countries, Saudi Arabia protects its women from that risk by not allowing them to drive in the first place, according to a translation posted online by the Middle East Media Research Institute.

“They don’t care if they are raped on the roadside, but we do,” al-Saadoon said on Saudi Rotana Khalijiyya TV.

    I like how it qualifies:

This study analyzed data from the FBI’s 2013 Uniform Crime Report and took into account total known reported cases of rape as defined under the UCR’s revised definition. Certain states like California do not use the revised definition.

On the bright side... we have the least amount of arrests for marijuana!

I thought that was an interesting article as well. I think more awareness and reporting could have something to do with it but there's obviously an underlying issue.

I was looking at the data and it seems that something changed in Colorado Springs around 2007-2008, could have just been a change in the definition but I'd like to hear other theories.

    2006 per 100K - 66.6
    2007 per 100K - 76.2
    2008 per 100K - 88.5

It looks like it has stayed near or above 80 since then.

I saw the report last night as well. I'd love to know what caused the increase in crime.
