Thought I'd share for anyone interested. Couldn't find a Marlin 1894C in .357, none on local shelves and all distributors were out so bought a new Henry Big Boy. Picked it up on a Saturday and when I got it home I couldn't get the magazine tube out. I emailed the company Saturday evening about the problem and then continued to work on it. I finally got it unstuck and found a burr on the end closest to the receiver. After taking the burr off and doing a little polishing it works great.
To my surprise I had an email early Sunday morning from the president of the company stating that he was calling his production manager at home to discuss the issue with him and would get back to me. I answered him stating that I had resolved the issue. He then emailed that he had discussed it with his production mgr who stated that should have been caught at the final QC inspection. He said he was glad I got it resolved but was sending me a pre-paid shipping label in the event I had further problems in the future.
I can't imagine getting such personal service from the president of any other manufacturer, especially on a Sunday.
The frosting on the cake came at the range. This thing is a great shooter, much more accurate than the Marlin 1894C in .357 I had and sold.
