I grew up in Michigan. You guys don't know what snow is...

I grew up in Alaska, where they have the equipment and budget to remove it- not the state-of-the-art "solar snow removal system" that the Front range uses...

the problem here is transplants, and just not enough priority given to removing it from the roads...
At least when I lived there, Anchorage had equipment, personnel and plan to plow streets like every 2-4 hours around the clock... and they don't even get the same amount of snow as say Valdez...(which gets 35-40 FEET every winter)

I even was a delivery driver in Anchorage with a 2wd import pickup (with studded snows & 800# of lead bars in the bed)... you didn't need 4wd unless you were going up hillside- they did a good job of keeping accumulation down.

The thing that's starting to get to me is the idiots that think a peek-a-boo hole on the windshield means your okay to drive and have proper visibility.
Almost got nailed twice this week by people driving with improperly cleaned windshields.
Isn't there a traffic law about driving with an obstructed windshield ?

That's crazy talk! The town I grew up in averages around 90" a year. In 2014, they got 134" and so far in 2015 they have 61". Having twice that would be pretty wild!
