But, i have looked at these, but not shot one. I recently built a 5.56 AR specifically to run .22lr. It is chambered 5.56/2.23 but it has the CMMG conversion instead of the standard BCG. I think it is a blast, and definitely cheap to shoot. I would recommend this type of build, or a dedicated upper from Spike's / TacSol. Before I would buy a dedicated specialty .22 AR.

Also i don't think Colt is making these. They are built and re-branded by Colt.
Sorry, I wasn't sure where to post, I guess other calibers wold have been better. Oh well.

I have seen and heard a lot of good things about the CMMG conversion set, but I would be hesitant to shoot .22s though my regular AR barrel. I wish I could build a platform specifically for .22lr, but I just don't have the monetary resources at this time.

It wouldn't shock me if Colt isn't making these, as the one I check out definitely did not feel up to Colt standards.
