The website is decidedly anti LE and I am sure there is a bias there. I can't speak to the officer's motivation to talking to the reporter and won't speculate about it. However, there is corruption in all aspects of government, from the county permitting and inspection office right up to the white house. Generals lie, police lie, congress lies, the head guy at the DOJ lies, I lied before I was born again. What this article says happens, happens. I have personally experienced police misconduct and found out first hand that government institutions will cover for their own.

I generally trust LE, I don't break the law, I will help LE in any way I can. Anyone that says that this does not happen has their head in the sand. Evil is evil and must be outed and we must stand against it be foreign or domestic, locally, nationally and internationally.

When he began using specific officer's names, the b.s. meter pegged for me.

If even a fraction of this is true, I feel truly blessed that my 36 year carreer was not spent at a Dept. that would even begin to condone such actions.

I am absolutely certain some of that happens from time to time but pretty much disbelieve crap on thefreethoughtproject. The few times I've wasted time perusing "articles" on that site, my BS meter hit neck-and-shoulders level.

I must not hang out with the right crowds because I seem to never run into these "bad" officers I always hear about.

I was curious about the use of "DC Post" as the journalistic source for the story. I thought that maybe the writer was referring to the Washington Post, which is the larger of the two regular papers in DC, the other being the more conservative Washington Times.

Here is a link to the DC Post story: http://dcpost.org/florida-law-office...ive-interview/

I have been unable to find anything about the editors/publishers of dcpost.org

I spent years in DC and have never heard of the publication before now.

There are bad people in every profession. This is especially bad when they are in public service and they have authority. If anything in that story is true, then I would assume at the very least, the DOJ will have a team of lawyers and investigators winging their way to sunny south Florida.

That said, the credibility of this is almost 0%. It does happen. What the article cites to there is a 99% chance didn't actually happen.
Just because it does happen doesn't mean I respect BS news.
quoted for truth... two wrongs don't make a right, but 3 lefts do. Also, correlation does not equal causation.
I hope your case is going well, I have a couple people that may want to talk to you about that- but they're afraid of backlash on family members... so they'd like some level of protection... they WANT to help, but are scared.

I thought that was an odd "quotation" myself... never heard of them either.
There is evil everywhere, even disguising itself as righteous, pious or in positions of authority.
(yes, there is evil in churches... as long as they are run by humans, they are fallible- I've seen this myself, too (yes, it was in Fremont county ))
