Default Christian von Koenigsegg is an evil genius.

The new Koenigsegg is going to be announced tomorrow ... its a hybrid that puts out 1500hp (700 of that from the electric motors) ... it is apparently capable of 0-248mph in LESS THAN 20 SECONDS. Jeebus ... almost wonder if you'd need a pressurized flight suit to drive it.

And this will probably just be the first version of this model, too. Can't wait for the full reveal tomorrow.

Lowest recall company last year. Only one recall for the whole year. Government Motors 26.7 million plus vehicles . You get what you pay for. What's the saying, cry once?

Yeah...that's a really valid comparison. GM built almost 10 million cars worldwide in 2013 alone. Cars that the average person in most developed countries can own and drive. Koenigsegg has built a little over 100 cars in the history of the company...that only a handful of people in the entire world can afford. I'd like to know what the stats are for each company on the numbers of cars produced vs the number recalled over the history of each company. I bet they'd be pretty close.

I think I'll keep my Silverado rather than rush out and buy a multi-million dollar car that will go fast and do little else in terms of practicality. If it gets recalled GM will take care of it at no charge to me other than the minor inconvenience of having to make a service appointment. So, yeah...you do get what you pay for.

Having said that, the cars produced by Koenigsegg are nothing short of amazing in terms of technology and capability in the speed department.

I'll be interested in seeing the new Koenigsegg showing up on Top Gear. It was certainly entertaining watching The Stig jamming a tire into the grille during an off-track encounter on an older model.

The Koenigsegg CC is still attributed as the highest speeding ticket ever. 242 in a 75mph zone in Texas (2003).

I wish technology solved people issues. It seems to just reveal them.

Okay, I will ask. What was used in Texas to catch it speeding?
    Maybe a GM?

Didn't they just put out a car the ONE ONE or some such thing? One HP per one LB?

    Still badass.
