FNG reportin' in
Until 2 days ago I hiked /ran up to the shooting Range on Rampart 3-4 times a week in order to shoot a little, scrap some brass, and pick up a bunch of trash. This has been my routine for about 2 years. I homeschool four kids. As I am around my kids so much of the time I would use this as my time to relax and work off that late night ice cream. I have met some mighty fine folks over my many trips up there and always enjoyed meeting new people and of course new guns.
I was up yesterday when they put up t-bar and barbed wire in order to close the facility. I picked up my last bags of trash as I talked to the forestry fire supervisor. He is a shooter himself and could only tell me that there would be a "safety investigation" in order to determine the future of the range.
Anyway I will have to drive to shoot now and am looking for some folks to shoot with.
I am interested in starting to shoot high power as I have a new SAI NM M14. I usually shoot with my running companion- a Keltec .223 folder. I also mold my own 12ga. slugs and if I can get some more primers do some more reloading. I used to shoot in falling plate matches for pistol. I do not own an AR-15.
