Default This ought to make most of us like Ted Cruz at least a little bit...

    http://www.ijreview.com/2015/04/2974...paign=Politics
At a recent event, GOP presidential candidate Ted Cruz was asked the following question:

“In the wake of the Sandy Hook shooting, a statistic surfaced putting support for background checks at 90%. Did you go against the want of the nation with your vote against Manchin-Toomey (a bill that would have required background checks on all commercial sales of guns)?”

The question is obviously trying to back him into a corner and his response in the video is just perfect.

Not only does he have the perfect answers, but it sure is refreshing to listen to a leader who is able to articulate points without the aid of a teleprompter.
Cruz had my vote before he even decided to run.

Wow! I'm going to have to look up more videos of his responses. Not only can eh think on his feet, but he took a question framed to make him be the bad guy, and he responded with a mild, conversational tone and spoke about the people. I'd almost forgotten what a response could sound like without the focus being on "I" and "MEMEMEMEMEEEEEEE." Wouldn't it be wonderful if we could have a President that wasn't all hot air and ego?

Ted's my guy. Pretty darn articulate and understands the constitutional underpinnings of our laws.

^This! Typical hypocrisy: don't question the citizenship requirement for the current entity in the WH, but put Cruz through the ringer for it.

My prediction is they'll put a Tea Party related candidate in the ring, and the winner will not be a woman.

Two Presidential (R) Candidates within a week that were given booby trap questions and nailed it?

Is it possible the GOP finally got some advisers that know WTH they're doing?

Unless the GOP elite rig the primary so that Bush or Krispy get the nod... It may be a great 2016. I'm cautiously optimistic.

I like Ted, he is well worded, smart, Constitutionally minded, and seems like an all around good dude. He's got my vote.
