So they're claiming my old sturdy Buck 110 is illegal? Is it considered concealed when it's riding in a belt pouch? WTF ... but they take great offense over applying the term "illegal" to someone who crossed the border without a passport or visa or discussing the matter with Customs & Immigration ... double WTF.

    This nation needs an enema.

Bottom line, if the officer is measuring your pocket knife, he'll find SOMETHING to arrest you for or issue a summons, as clearly you have done something to justify the contact in his or her mind.

OR confiscate it for their collection, letting you off with a warning.

These knives are illegal to carry concealed:

    • All knives less than 3.5 inches are legal.
    • All fishing and hunting knives of any length are legal.
    • All knives over 3.5 inches are illegal.

So I'm a bit confused here with bullet points 2 and 3. If I am walking down the street and have a 4 inch Ka-Bar in my backpack that I use for hunting is that legal or illegal? Does it only become legal if I have my 30-06 hunting rifle over my shoulder?

Interesting that you can carry a samurai sword around perfectly legal if others can see it, but the second you put a 3.6 inch butter knife in your pocket, you are going to jail.

My dad ordered me a knife that a certain cheaper than heck web site wouldn't ship to him in NY due to the NY laws. Maybe when he moves here I'll give it to him. But it seems it's not legal here either, according to this web site. Whatever.....
