Dropped by Damage Factory today on recommendation of somewhat co-worker of mine...nice shop and nice to meet Chunky Monkey.
Picked up an AeroPrecision lower, and had a lil 'Merica laser engraved on it...will do business with these guys again...

I guess I never put an official review of DF yet. Since they pay me $100 to do it, I guess I should. Just kidding! They didn't pay me anything but shop is awesome. Never a bad dealing with them. Only bad thing is I spend too much when I go in.

I brought in an older Springfield 1911 that had a worn finish. I was contemplating on whether or not to have Bert refinish it. I saw what Ken did with a Glock and thought I'd see what he could do.

This was the original finish. The frame had skater tape on it from the guy who sold it to me. He was a three gunner. After we removed the tape, we discovered the finish underneath was rough and scratched up. I can see why he covered it in skater tape for the sale.

After Ken did his magic, this is the result.

I'm liking the new look immensely. The original wear complements what Ken did so well!

Thanks Ken and Damage Factory! (Of course, while I was waiting as Ken did his thing, I kept picking up things and putting them on the counter. I ended up buying a bunch of stuff as well!)

Awesome and friendly service. Appreciate it. Do all my transfers here even though it is a bit of a drive.

Think the whole deal was laser etched & engraved.

Depends upon what he is referring to. If he is referring to my 1911, the finish was already worn and he simply used the laser to produce the finished look. The pistol finish is still worn, but enhanced. I think it came out great.
