You can shoot shotguns by the round charge, but pistol/rifle you need to be a member, except those 2-3 days a year they are open to the public in the fall for rifle site in... the weekend that members avoid.

You bet there is..... with Monument, Parker, Castle Rock, Franktown... it's no wonder.
I say lets all remove the warning labels and let nature take its course.

Doesn't Ft Carson do fall site in as well?

Here is an interactive map with locations and dirrections to all shooting ranges from the Colorado DOW site:
    http://wildlife.state.co.us/Hunting/...ogleRanges.htm

Not very current... still lists Rampart Shooting Range
I say lets all remove the warning labels and let nature take its course.

    Default Red Hill Gun Club

East of Sterling is the Red Hill Gun Club. It's private, costs about $100 the first year and then goes down to $50 or something like that (I can't remember what I paid last year) depending if you take part in the annual clean up day.

No RO so it's informal and you have to provide your own targets of course. Has a pistol area out to 100 yards, and 50, 100, and 200 yard ranges. It also has a 235 yard metal gong and if no one else is there there is a table set 100 yards back from the others that makes it a 300 yard range.

When you get your membership they give you a key to the gate and you can bring as many guests at a time as you want.

You just have to watch out for the cattle that wander through every once in a while.

Edit: Forgot to mention that the rifle tables are 4-6" concrete in a T shape with 6-8" steel pipe sunk into the ground for bases, rock solid.

Ya, that's a good one and not on there. I'll see if KL7 can update the map.

The map has gotten very good. KL did a pretty good job in this. There are ranges on here I've never even heard of.
Mom's comin' 'round to put it back the way it ought to be.
