I ride North Table almost exclusively for mtb anymore at this point, usually after work.
I do have an XC 29er, but really prefer to take the fatbike too.
More enjoy the fitness aspect than anything technical.

When I lived in Denver LOTB and Mt Falcon were my go to rides. Now I'm down south, Pueblo Res has over 30 miles of single track. I picked up a Bantam and love it, but I still ride my 99 Chameleon about once a week. Anyone down here want to do a day trip to Oil Well Flats?

I have been cruising around the high line canal, waterton canyon, platte river and places around Sth Wst Denver. I live by Chatfield res so I usually just go somewhere close.

I got a 2013 specialized last year after having a 2004 for almost 10 years. The 2013 has the 29" wheels I think I liked the 26" better but it is nice to have a new bike the old one was spent, lol

We should all plan a day to ride, if this weather ever breaks! I had a 29r and liked it a lot, more of a 26 guy though. I have been wanting to try a 27.5 and see how that is, and the fat bikes look like a blast!!

yeah sounds fun, I am usally up for a ride.

There have more than a couple times where I wish I had a 29er. That little bit of pedal clearance makes a big difference. But you really have to get used to the higher center of gravity. As I get a older and going up becomes more of a priority than hauling ass down; I am really starting to lean towards a 29er. But there is still that downhill voice inside of me that screams out when I turn back down. I cant afford any more reconstructive surgeries from accidents though.

I like the 29s on flat ground they cruz better and it seems like I get more from my work, The big draw back for me is my feet hit the front tire sometimes when I am going slow and I feel more clumsy. I just have much more control over a bike with 26" wheels.

I am totally on the same page with you and the downhill, I would not want to take the 29 on intense downhill runs, but then I wonder if I really should be doing that anyway. lol
