Hopefully not, I think you can install new seals, but I'm still a newb to this stuff. The previous owner definitely neglected this bike, it seems like it sat for a bit in the elements, not long enough to cause permanent damage, but enough to where it needs some elbow grease put into it.
Check out pricepoint.com and Jensen bike parts along with Nashbar. I bet you will find what you're looking for.

Well, I'm not sure how quickly this Giant project is going to get off the ground (if at all). Guy at the bike shop said the fork is toast, and since Marzocchi is out of business, you can't get parts. Needs new front wheel, chain, etc. I did source some lightly used Avid BB7 calipers and levers, with pads for a steal, haven't jumped on them yet, not sure where to go with this one. If anyone has any cheap parts to get rid of, let me know lol.
I have a set of Hayes hydraulic brakes that need to be bled. You can have em for cheap - say $25? Brand new pads too. I can't remember if I have them for both calipers or just one. I can check tomorrow.
Also, I'm getting stoked to ride! Almost done with the academy. I need to test out my new air fork, stem & bars!

I've got an old Schwinn Sweet Spot hanging in my garage... I don't think it's ever going to get used. Poor bike....

Just saw this, I may take you up on your offer, I'm still trying to decide if I'm going to move forward with this project or not, really like the bike, but don't want to dump more into it than its worth. Found the exact fork I need in brand new condition, but I think the guy might be a little steep on his price, claiming it's rare. If he means rare as In Marzocchi is out of business and I can't get parts to rebuild it, then yes it's rare.
There's a place in Ft Collins I believe that rebuilds forks, but I might be remembering that they specialize in Fox forks. A good bike shop should new able to service your fork too
