    I too hate paying someone to do something I can handle. I tend to defer to an expert on my bicycles. I can replace parts, but nothing beats a professional tune. Plus you can go back and get it adjusted if it isn't prefect. (And vehicle transmissions, I always let someone else do those.)

    So far the parts I've replaced were simple, but I think you may be onto something with the professional tune.
