The Mayor needs to go! She's mishandled this from the jump off and now is saying she never said what she clearly said. Aside from failure to act in a timely fashion, she has also fanned the flames of all this.

Fox News has a live feed from the air of the aftermath... in daylight it almost resembles some areas of Baghdad. Burned out cars, a husk of what was once a building (I'm assuming that construction site that was destroyed) and trash all over the street with spots where fires were burning. Didn't see any NG vehicles. Way to go B-More, burn your own city down...

I'm going to stick my neck out here and make a comment on the mayors words. If you read or hear the full text instead of the snippet that some news channels are playing, it seems clear to me what she's trying to say.
She could have worded it better, but it's clear to me what she meant. I would hope our side would be more objective than some in the media. Lord knows the role the media plays in the racial tension. And they play both sides.It’s a very delicate balancing act, because, while we tried to make sure that they were protected from the cars and the other things that were going on, we also gave those who wished to destroy space to do that as well

In addition to my comment above. It does however point out the fact that she misread the situation. There are far too many people that have their heads in the clouds about these demonstrations. All the officials know how the recent peaceful demonstrations have turned into violent free for alls. They should know whats going to happen if they give the room for a demonstration. In essence they are saying that the protesters anger is more important than public safety. Bad call that proves the inferiority of the liberal progressive doctrine.

Granted...she could've stated it better if that's what she meant. On the other hand, if that's not what she meant she should've owned up to her mistake and said that's not what she meant. She should NOT have denied saying what she said and THEN chastised the media for pointing it out.

I don't know, Mayor HandCock allowed some people to destroy a police memorial and he allowed some punks to block traffic on Colfax that resulted in the injuries to 4 DPD.

Restate a position because 1 mother decided to impart some discipline? I don't think so, that 1 parent doesn't account for the thousands of others who dropped the ball.
