Sawin - Feedback thread.
We're tucked into the southern part of suburbia, but we're close to the beltway and a big mall. Fortunately, we've got no pot shops in this county; unfortunately, we're near the county line road.
We'd bug in; our home will be a safe haven for our family/friends and some elderly neighbors.
That being said, I've go a lot to do to get things prepared- such as the pre-cut plywood boards for our windows. It's time to switch out the winter gear in our Get-home bags.

Bug in and camp on the top floor patio with a noise maker for warning Korean shop keeper style.
4wd up and over Rampart Range Rd / Forest roads to Woodland Park.
Head out to our cabin in the woods from there.
Pour an Oban and fire up the YouTubes to watch the festivities.

If you use bear spray, how do you expect to bear arms?
Hunkering down seems like a plan.
But, what happens when the thuggies realize they are not going to get into the house and loot? Wouldn't they just start burning the place down?
I guess I'll have to work on an escape plan.
Hunker down in my 1 bedroom apartment. Have enough ammo, food and water to last several months.
No transportation but have a daughter that can head this way if needed.
Up here, we'd pretty much watch the news and invite friends up to stay if they could make it. Sure, we'd be on full alert, but the odds of a Baltimore style shitstorm reaching here is nil.
As far as being away from home or in town when it hits, we have some plans but really need to get a SOLID plan together to get home. Luckily we both work in the hills and live about 20 mins from the house. We're focusing on forest fire preparations right now.
And bear spray....isn't it a violation of federal law to use it in any manner inconsistent with it's intended use and labeling?![]()
