Check out post #11 in the link below. Specifically the last little paragraph.

Try running the screw in from the backside. Sometimes if you have a booger on the female threads you can "chase" them enough to clear them out.
Use a bit of oil or grease on the threads.

I noticed they had it, thought it would clear itself out as I started the screw in, but then had to clear that gunk off. Luckily I can remove the bushing from the rifle (anyone with an AK knows what I'm talking about) and bring everything in on Thurs to ACE (didn't know there was a difference between them- I'm not very handy). Thanks for the help.

Hahaha, Bert! Haven't heard that one before!
Got it hooked up and even ordered and installed an E93 V3 single point sling attach.

Trying my best to keep it as original looking as possible, but man, I hated the original sling. Besides, I don't want Papa Kalashnikov chastising me for changing perfect rifle with silly mods.

Tune in next week to "Saving Ronins Privates" when Ronin loses his juice box privileges for pointing his PopTart at the Sarg and saying "Pew,Pew,Pew".

I needed a new one that actually fit into the bushing... It turned out to be an M6 which I just picked up from Ace Hardware (granted, the one in N. Aurora that was in an awful shady location). It's all good now. I originally posted this to just find out if someone knew what size screw goes into a Tapco bushing so I didn't have to play mix and match at the store. Turned out that Home Depot had a display with the different sizes on it, then when I found the size that fit they didn't have anything in that size.

HA! Welcome to my world. The Depot has everything but the one thing you TRULY need that day.
