    Default Theater Trial

Have not seen this discussed on here. Started last week and expected to go 5 months or so. Live feed during the trial with discussion in between: http://www.thedenverchannel.com/auro...ing/trial-live

Initial thoughts as I see all these people that are involved here is how much taxpayer money this trial is costing. Lawyers are not cheap, and pretty much everyone on camera is getting paid for this thing. Really wish this guy would have ate a bullet long ago.

I do find the trial intriguing though. Anyone know where/if any of the evidence is made public online? They show many photos and videos up on the TV in court but the one camera that is allowed, does not really give you a view of what they are talking about.

Even the cops keep referring to his AR as an assault rifle, one guy called it a machine gun and no one was corrected. Anyone know if this thing was full auto?

Sad but I would rather they threw everything they had at him if it makes sure he never sees the light of day again. Any rifle is an assualt rifle if used in the manner he did. Don't make this a gun rights thing.... We will all lose big time.... More than we already have. Pretty sure it was semi-auto but most people have no clue. If lead comes out the end you could call it a cannon and they would agree. Let it play out and hopefully we never hear his name again.

I believe I read that he bought it at Gander Mountain so I'm thinking it wasn't full auto.
Don't pick a fight with an old man. If he is too old to Fight, he'll just kill you.

Lawyers spew all kinds of bullshit in the court room and aren't called on it.

Semi-auto Bushy, had a 100rd Betamag-it jammed (thankfully), couldn't clear it and tried jamming more standard mags into it before the piece of shit transitioned to his shotgun and then pistol. The prosecution, especially during Brauchler's opening statements, is really setting it up to show how methodical the planning was and not the work of an insane mind. It's been gut-wrenching to listen to the victims' testimony as well as many of the first responders.

Yeah that is correct. When I heard "machine gun" though, I was wondering if he had something modified or maybe had that bump stock thing?

The irony from all this is that the 100 round mag that he used supposedly misfed yet people got caught up with that number and led to the ban. Ironic that if he used a bunch of 10 round mags they probably would have functioned better than the 100 rounder.

I wish that Texas cop that plays first person shooter games against radical Muslims with his revolver had been there to drop this giant turd.

The victims are certainly tough to listen to. I am surprised no one has jumped across the desk and tried to rip his head off yet. He just sits there swinging back and forth in his chair with no reactions at all. I don't think I could get up there and not attack him after what happened.

I am more interested in how a person gets in that mindset. The interviews between him and cops after the shooting would be interesting but I seem to either have missed them or they were not made public.

No need for that guy, they had a sticker on the front door of the theater saying "No guns allowed".
